When there is a job fair or a business information meet then it makes an ideal time to wear business casuals. Business casual wear is more of interview attire which is between of formal and casual wear. It all depends on the time, weather and place where the business meeting will occur, whether it is an informal interview or information meets. To classify business casual actually is a difficult task and a lot depends on what the employer views as formal clothing and casual clothing. It is best to directly ask the employer or the prospective employer for the dress code.
For example, if the interview note reads informal or whimsical then chances are they are not very formal and you can take a good chance of wearing business casuals. Business casuals can be defined as crisp, clean and presentable clothing. It should obviously not be like party attire or picnic attire. Tight or very loose clothing is also not advisable and cannot be classified as business casual wear.
The clothing that falls into the category of business casual wear is khaki pants, buttoned cotton shirts which are usually safe for both men and women. Polo shirts or golf shirts do not come into the same category and they cannot be called appropriate business wear. The more plain and simple you keep it, the better it is. Even clothing accessories like belts, shoes and tie will add up for a complete business casual wear. A tie is seldom worn so they can be counted out, but shoes and belts are safe if they are leather and coordinate well. But whatever it may, you should always wear closed shoes.
